Retreat FAQs

Is the resort/Morocco safe?
Your peace of mind and security are one of our highest priorities. Once you go through the guarded resort entrance your coach will drive another 5 minutes to reach the hotel entrance. You will then, along with your all your luggage, go through an airport style security scanner & all bags are X-rayed. Every entry and exit point on the resort has a security presence and walk-through scanner. The perimeters of the entire grounds also have 24-hour security patrols. All airports in Morocco have among the world’s leading security procedures and checks.

Do I need a Visa?
No. You do not need a visa to visit Morocco on holiday if you hold a UK, EU, Australian or US passport with six months validity. You will be required to fill in a landing card upon arrival and a departure card on exit.

What food will we eat?
Retreat guests will be served one juice/smoothie per day. This will help get essential vitamins, minerals, macro and micro nutrients into your system.

Breakfast (after your morning yoga session) is in the fabulous international buffet restaurant, Olives.

In the evening, after your 2nd and last yoga class of the day we will meet as a group for dinner in the exceptional ‘Market Place’ restaurant. The food is of the highest standard, and we are confident everyone’s tastes will be met.

If you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies please let us know in advance so we are able to inform the chefs. The team will accompany the group to both breakfast and dinner to help with balanced, healthy, food choices.

What’s the Spa like and are my treatments included?
The Spa at Mazagan is truly world class and has recently won some outstanding awards, including “Morocco’s Best Hotel Spa” by the World Spa Awards 2015

Retreat guests have 3 1-hour spa treatments included in each week’s stay. We are happy to advise you of the best treatments to complement your retreat or you are welcome to choose your own.

Can I stay for less than one week?
Absolutely. We are happy to customise a shorter holiday to help you achieve the greatest possible results.

Do I need to pay the full amount for my holiday or retreat immediately?

What is the time difference?
The UK and Morocco are in the same time zone (including clock changes). Morocco is just 5 hours ahead of the East Coast of the United States, meaning that the effects of jetlag will be minimal.

Flights are not included, though we are happy to arrange your flights if needed.

How much is the airport transfer?
The cost of your transfers are included in your retreat package.

Which airports are transfers included from?

The transfer from Casablanca airport to the resort will take around 60 minutes. From Rabat airport transfer time is around 3 hours.

How do I arrange the transfer?
Simply notify us of your flight times to either Rabat or Casablanca and a hotel/Living Retreats rep will meet you at the airport and transfer you from the retreat to the airport at the end of your stay.

What do I need to pack?
We provide your yoga mats but we would advise bringing a yoga towel (sticky dot towel). You will get through a lot of sports clothes, so please pack plenty. The hotel does provide a laundry service. There is a drying line in the bathroom should you wish to hand wash any items. Trainers are essential for walks and exercising in the gym. Sweat wicking clothing is the way to go! The mornings and evenings could be cooler, so please pack a jumper and also a lightweight waterproof. Dress code for dinner is smart casual.
